Ongoing Series

The materials for this series were recovered from a retired teachers’ home in Parma, Ohio. The silhouette and the background of these pieces are relics from educations past, large cards With details of the surfaces of earth, and materials from its oceans and crust. The shape and size of the silhouette represented is directly inspired by a piece of her own artwork that was left abandoned on her basement floor after her death. With these pieces I honor her artistic endeavors as they were surely overshadowed by her career as a teacher,
