Frame Studies are completed pieces that begin with the frame instead of the traditional way of creating the image, and then selecting the frame. Approaching them this in this manner allows me to essentially “narrow down” the chaotic jumble of ideas in my head, allowing me to focus on the size and colors dictated by the frame.
